Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Booking Confirmation and Payment

All accommodation bookings will need to be confirmed on a Chalet La Savoyarde Booking Form and will need to include the following information:

  • your booking dates
  • party organiser contact details
  • number of people in your party (including children)
  • any additional/special requirements

All bookings made more than 8 weeks in advance will be held for up to 48 hours by which time we must have received a completed Booking Form and 50% deposit.

Any booking made within 8 weeks of holiday date will be held for up to 24 hours by which time we must have received a completed Booking Form and payment in full.

Upon receipt of your booking we will issue you with a booking form and invoice (via PayPal) for:

  • a 50% deposit if booking is more than 8 weeks in advance of holiday date (a final invoice for the outstanding amount due will be issued to you 8 weeks prior to the date of your stay)
  • payment in full if booking made within 8 weeks of the date of your stay
  • A security deposit of £300 (€350) will be required one week before the commencement of your stay. This will be returned in full within two weeks of your departure date once an inspection of the chalet has been completed and there are no damaged or missing items.
  • You will be notified of the final invoice date when we confirm your booking (on receipt of your 50% deposit). Payment must be received in full within 3 working days of receipt of our final invoice.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that payment is received on time.  If payment is not received in full and on time we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled, which in turn will trigger the cancellation charges set out in section 4.

2. Special Requests/Requirements

Any special requests or requirements should be clearly outlined on your Booking Form.

Wherever possible we will try to accommodate or comply with your request and will confirm this in writing. You will also be informed of any additional costs before the total booking amount is sent to you.

3. Insurance

It is the responsibility of the party to ensure that they have adequate personal insurance for their holiday.

The chalet insurance requires that guests staying on a fully catered basis do not have access to the kitchen and any of its facilities (without prior arrangement).  Therefore the kitchen will be off limits when not in use by the caterers.

4. Holiday Cancellation & Changes

Any cancellations or amendments to all or any part of your booking should be confirmed to us by email as soon as possible.

Changes or cancellations can only be accepted if made by the person who completed the original Booking Form.

Wherever possible will will endeavor to accommodate any changes.

In order to cover our costs (ie. not re-selling the holiday), the following scale of cancellation charges will apply. This excludes any purchases made by us on your behalf (ie.  Airport transfers, ski passes, etc…), which are non-refundable.

The cancellation charges are based upon a % charge of your total holiday cost and are as follows:

  • 8-4 weeks 50%
  • 4-2 weeks 75%
  • 2-0 weeks 100%

5. Guest’s Behaviour

All guests are expected to behave with consideration to other guests. Should, in our opinion,  you or any member of your party behave in such a way as to cause, or to be likely to cause, distress, danger or annoyance to any third party (including other guests) or damage to the chalet or any of its contents, we reserve the right to terminate the holiday.

In this extreme situation, our responsibilities towards the party concerned (including any return transport arrangements) will immediately cease and we will not be held responsible for any costs or expenses they may incur as a result.  We will also not pay any compensation, or make any refunds to the party or associates that incur additional expense as a result of this action.

We are happy to accept smokers, however, for health and safetly reasons Chalet La Savoyarde is a ‘no smoking’ zone.  Smoking is permitted outside the Chalet which includes the balconies.  Smokers are requested to take extra care when extinguising their cigarettes.

6. Accidental Injury, Damage or Loss

We can accept no liability for any accident, personal injury or suffering arising for any reason within or on the grounds of Chalet La Savoyarde.

You should ensure that you are adequately insured both for personal injury and material loss/damage.

Guests must accept full responsibility for any damage or loss caused by themselves or any member of their  party to Chalet La Savoyarde or any of its contents. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be made to us immediately or no later than the final date of departure.

7. Food and Drink

Guests staying on a fully catered basis are discouraged from brining excessive amounts of food and drink onto the premises.

Disposal of glass items/bottles (wine, spirits, beer, jars, etc.) will be charged at 20 cents per item/bottle and will be deducted from the security deposit

8. Chalet Clean

Self catered guests only:
The chalet clean on the day of departure takes up to 2 hours (this excludes bed making and cleaning of the shower rooms) and is free of charge.  Should additional hours be required to bring the chalet back to the condition it was in on the day of arrival there will be an additional charge of €30/hour which be deducted from the security deposit
