
The PassPortes du Soleil is a 80 km/50 miles Mountain Bike trek ranging from 1000 to 2250m in altitude, in both France and Switzerland.
It consists of 7000m of total downhill terrain and a total of 1000m of uphill climb.covers 9 different resorts.
You can start from any of the 9 different resorts:
- In France: Avoriaz, Châtel, Les Gets, Morzine and Montriond-Les Lindarets
- In Switzerland: Champéry, Morgins, Torgon and Les Crosets.
The trek takes one day, and participants can choose whether to take part on Saturday or Sunday. There are 8 refreshment points en route and technical assistance is provided at 2 points around the circuit. Assistance, aid and security is provided around the circuit. There is entertainment in each resort and this year the official MTB show will be held in Chatel.
The Portes du Soleil’s Mountain Bike Area is one of the largest in Europe, with 650km of signposted trails between France and Switzerland, over 20 ski-lifts specially adapted for carrying bikes, dozens of permanent downhill tracks, X country trial circuits, north shore and bike parks
On the last weekend of June the Portes du Soleil area celebrates the opening of all its Summer lifts with the PassPortes du Soleil MTB Tour
