About Morzine

Situated deep in the Dranse River Valley (below the cliff upon which Avoriaz is situated), mid-way between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva, the Savoyard town of Morzine is stunning for Alpine scenery, nestling between forests and summits. Morzine is the largest of the 14 interconnected ski resorts that make up the famed Portes du Soleil region.  Here life is leisurely, and the village has lost nothing of its original charm and Savoyard way of life.

Ideally placed right in the middle of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine is the gateway to a marvelous winter playground of 650 km of ski-slopes. In summer, these slopes become sign-posted footpaths for trekking and mountain biking.  Not forgetting the miles of open spaces surrounding the ski-runs from where you can head off into the middle of nowhere…

Originally a town before later becoming a ski destination, Morzine has more to do than your average purpose-built resort, and is an excellent holiday option for skiers and non-skiers alike. It has retained its heritage and authentic charm, and the village is permeated with shops selling traditional Savoyard pottery and other handicrafts. Morzine possesses a laid-back atmosphere and holiday spirit which perfectly matches the gentle pace of village life.

Either for a few days or a longer holiday, both idlers and sports fans will find everything they need for a real break with family or friends - everything for a perfect, peaceful and pleasurable holiday. Sharing, laughing, playing, discovering, with loads of thrills, fresh air, great food and views. You’ll have a ball!
